How It Was Born?

The concept of Lo Shu Grid comes from China and gained popularity in certain parts of India. It is believed that it existed for the last  4000 years. The legend says, that once upon a time in China, the Hwang-Ho river went out of control. People in the country were upset about it. The Chinese ruler ‘Wu-of-Hsia’ was looking for solutions to the flood. One day, the emperor was crossing the river and he saw a turtle. The turtle had a 9 square (3*3) grid imprint on its shell. And that’s how we get now this infamous Grid. It is named after the Luo River in Luoyang, Henan.

How to Make a Lo Shu Grid

You can create it with a few simple steps. You need to fill in your date of birth correctly in the grid. Let’s understand this with an example.

Suppose your date of Birth is 31 August 1992, which is 31-08-1992.

  1. Calculate Your Numbers:
  • Add all the digits of your birth date together. (3+1+0+8+1+9+9+2)
  • Reduce this number to single digits from 0-9 (e.g., if you get 33, add 3 + 3 = 6).
  • All your numbers for the grid would be (1,2,3,6,8,9).
  1. Fill in the Grid:
  • It has already assigned a number to the box where you place your numbers.
  • If a number is missing, leave that square empty.

How to Read the Lo Shu Grid Planes Numerology

These grids have 3 types of planes. Horizontal Planes show what type of person you are. Vertical Planes show how your behavior is. And Diagonal planes show what the future holds for you.

Let’s talk about the horizontal planes first:

  1. Mind plane

The first horizontal row in the Grid is called the mental plane or intellectual plane. This line has numbers 4, 9, and 2. It represents the person’s ability to understand and analyze things. If you have all these numbers (4,9,2) in the grid, it means you have a rational approach in life. The missing numbers in this plane mean a lack of memory or being impulsive.

  1. Emotional plane

The middle horizontal row in the Lo Shu Grid is called the emotional plane or spiritual plane. This line has numbers 3, 5, and 7. It represents the person’s ability to express emotions better. The repetition of the number 5 in your date of birth has a negative effect. It also means analytical thinking is missing. If the number of emotional planes is not balanced with the number of intellectual planes, it means the person is touchy and thinks from the heart.

  1. Practical plane

The last horizontal row in the Grid is called the practical plane or material plane. This line has numbers 8, 1, and 6. It is a sign of success, fortune, and prosperity. If you have all these numbers (8,1,6) in the grid, it means you have luxury in life with a bit of ego and arrogance. The missing numbers in this plane mean a lack of memory or being impulsive. If the number of material planes is not balanced with the number of emotional planes, it means the person is wealthy and heartless.
